Inroads Newsletters

The Summer/Fall 2011 print issue of Inroads contains brief excerpts from two lengthy discussions on the Inroads listserv. One explored the issues of privacy and freedom of information raised by the leak of thousands of diplomatic cables to the WikiLeaks website in December 2010, while the other consisted of a running commentary on the federal election campaign in the spring of 2011. The spring 2011 newsletter contains extended versions of both these discussions.

This newsletter is our way of staying in touch with readers between twice-yearly print issues. Inroads subscribers will receive each new newsletter as soon as they're published.

In 2007, as part of market research carried out with a grant from the Canada Magazine Fund, Inroads conducted a focus group. The focus group participants were all gratifyingly enthusiastic about Inroads — so much so, in fact, that they felt it should be a quarterly. This electronic newsletter implements the focus group’s recommendation — in a manner in keeping with our modest means.

So in the Spring of 2008 we produced a 34-page package of new Inroads features, which we described as Inroads-Update. In Fall 2008, we had enough content for two newsletters, which you can see here.
